ST ANTHONY BASIC SCHOOL IN KPANDO, VOLTA REGION RECEIVES REACT’S BOOKS DONATIONS

The scheme has been extremely successful as a result of the constant supply of books from Usborne Books UK ( https://usborne.com/gb/books )  St. Anthony Basic School which was nominated by REACT’s Trustee Chair, Mr. Wisdom Bessie Dente has a pupil population of 172  but is mostly under-resourced, particularly with books.

Asked why the school was selected as a beneficiary Mr. Bessie Dente said, he grew up in the village and is an alumnus of the school, having attended classes 1-6 there.

The School Prefect, Miss Rebecca Yevugah, thanked REACT for thinking about their pressing needs but also requested that REACT help them build a well-resourced library that will serve the larger community in the long term. Miss Yevugah also asked for help with a computer laboratory to enhance the school’s ICT teaching and learning.

Thanks a lot REACT for your benevolent gesture. Thanks Mr. Wisdom Bessie-Dente for nominating this very deprived community and school.
