REACT DONATE BOOKS TO ACHIASE M/A JHS IN BEKWAI ASHANTI

The Bekwai Achiase M/A Junior High School in the   Ashanti Region of Ghana receives book donations from REACT  as part of our Books Support Scheme. The scheme launched in 2019 with the intention of supporting twenty under-resourced schools each year has been massively backed by Usborne Books UK who has been our major contributor ever since.

Presenting the books, a teacher of the school Mr. Dennis Acheampong who made the request said, the donation shall be a source of pride to the school and also a bridge to learning as far as education is concerned. Mr. Acheampong also acknowledged that the books shall help develop students and also facilitate their learning process and thanked Usborne Books UK for helping REACT achieve its objectives.

The headteacher, Mr. Philip Adjei who received the books quoted Oliver Twist "….to ask for more" and appealed to REACT to maintain its bond between the school so that we can continue to assist school children especially, the physically challenged to become productive citizens in the near future. Mr. Adjei pledged that the authorities shall take very good care of the books to benefit tomorrow’s generations.

REACT CEO, Prince Osei Akowuah in his remote message said Usborne Books UK and REACT have a common objective to help educate Ghana’s youth and hope the books will help instill a high reading culture among the children. Prince urged the authorities to look after the books so as to benefit generations.
