PROFILE: Abena holds an honours degree in Events

Management from the University of West of Scotland and is currently working for
the McFarlane Trust in Glasgow helping to map out daily events and activities
for people with learning disabilities. She also holds a diploma in
Communication at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

Ms Ofei-Agyemang is passionate about matters involving disability, especially in
developing countries due to her personal experiences with her own relatives,
some of whom have physical and mental disabilities. Her desire to help educate
and introduce policies for the disabled in society has seen her volunteer for
organizations such as the Yorkhill Children’s Charity, organising events to raise
funds towards the running of hospitals for sick children. Ms Ofei-Agyemang has
experience in organising events for the Black and Ethnic Minority community in
Glasgow to enhance cultural integration. When she’s not organising events, Ms
Ofei-Agyemang produces programmes for ABCi Media’s television platform in 

Glasgow. She’s also a mother to two lovely boys whom she describes as ‘her world’!
